Dr. Dressendorfer is an USA well known exercise physiologist, sports nutritionist and physical therapist. He has conducted dozens of research studies on the metabolic and biochemical functions of distance runners in training. In addition, he examined the physiological demands and stresses of multi-day road racing events. His studies also provide insight to the dietary (fuel, fluid and electrolytes) challenges of endurance athletes.
Currently, Rudy is Adjunct Professor of Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta. As a practicing physical therapist, he specializes in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries. He applies his first-hand experience in research and sports medicine to coaching runners and triathletes. Rudy competes in triathlon events and recently won his age group in the 2008 Vineman Half Ironman.
This is what he says about SportAktive easy:
Very physically-active people, especially those exposed to heat for a prolonged duration, can lose critical amounts of water and salt in their sweat. Large fluid and salt deficits impair exercise capacity and increase the risk of heat exhaustion. As a physiologist, I recommend that fitness enthusiasts and athletes follow a plan for fluid and electrolyte replacement during and after exercise. As a triathlete, my personal hydration action plan includes the use of SportAktive Easy tablets in water bottles.
The SportAktive Easy formula is consistent with the research literature on hydration science. I use SportAktive Easy solutions during and after my work outs and races. It remains good tasting to me even after consuming a large volume, unlike other sport drinks. It has effectively reduced my exercise-related fluid deficit and muscle cramping compared to other drinks. I encourage serious exercisers to give SportAktive Easy a road test.
